1. Moving Arrival Time

The estimated arrival time provided during booking is subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances, such as extended prior jobs, traffic delays, or weather conditions. While we aim for punctuality, these factors may be beyond our control. Rest assured, our team will communicate promptly regarding any delays to ensure minimal inconvenience.

2. Property Access and Parking

  • Customers must notify us of potential access issues, including narrow pathways, staircases, elevators, or other constraints like spiral staircases or limited driveway space.
  • Parking arrangements, including permits, must be secured by the customer.
  • Any fines incurred due to improper parking arrangements will be charged to the customer.

3. Insurance Coverage

We offer public liability insurance coverage of up to $5 million, included in the quoted rates. Please note that in the event of an insurance claim, any excess costs must be covered by the customer.

Additionally, we provide goods-in-transit insurance, covering your belongings during transport from point A to point B. This insurance offers coverage of up to $10,000 per truckload, and it is also included in the rates provided.

We provide limited insurance coverage to protect your belongings during the move. However, please note the following exclusions:

  • Fragile items (e.g., glassware, mirrors) that are not professionally packed are not covered.
  • Specialty items such as antiques, pianos, or marble surfaces are excluded unless pre-arranged.
  • We are not liable for damage to packed boxes or goods once our team departs the premises.
  • Any damage caused while the customer assists with moving is not our responsibility.

4. Booking Modifications and Cancellations

We understand that plans can change. Our cancellation policy is as follows:

  • More than 7 days before the move: No charges.
  • 2–6 days before the move: Up to 50% of the moving charge.
  • Less than 2 days before the move: Up to 75% of the moving charge.
  • On the moving day: Up to 100% of the charge if movers arrive or work begins.

Booking modifications, such as changes to dates or services, must be made at least 48 hours in advance to avoid additional fees.

5. Payment Terms

We offer flexible payment options for your convenience:

  • Bank Transfer: No additional charges.
  • Card Payments: A 3.5% surcharge applies.

Payments must be settled upon completion of the service unless otherwise agreed in writing.

6. Handling of Specialty Items

Items like pianos, pool tables, or oversized furniture require a minimum of four movers and specialized equipment.

If fewer movers are requested, customers must arrange additional help at both pickup and delivery locations. Failure to comply may result in delays or cancellation, with full charges applied.

7. Damage, Scratches, and Risk Management

  • Although we take every precaution, minor marks or scratches may occur during the handling of large or heavy items in confined spaces.
  • Customers are encouraged to inspect all items during loading and delivery.
  • Any damages must be reported within 24 hours of delivery, along with photographic evidence. Claims after this period will not be accepted.

8. Reporting Loss or Damage

At the end of the move, customers must confirm that all items have been delivered and are in satisfactory condition.

  • Claims for missing or damaged items must be submitted in writing within 24 hours of delivery.
  • Claims must include detailed descriptions and supporting evidence, such as photos or inventory checklists.

9. Packing and Loading Services

  • We offer professional packing services to safeguard your belongings.
  • Customers opting for self-packing must ensure all items are securely packed to prevent damage during transit.
  • Heavy and fragile items should be clearly labelled to facilitate proper handling.

10. Final Checks and Customer Responsibility

  • Customers are responsible for ensuring the moving truck is empty before it departs.
  • Movers Perth is not responsible for items left behind once the vehicle leaves the premises.
  • To avoid discrepancies, we encourage customers to conduct a final walkthrough of the property.

11. Delayed or Additional Services

  • Should delays occur due to customer-related factors, such as incomplete packing or unavailable access, additional waiting charges may apply.
  • Requests for additional services during the move (e.g., disassembly or reassembly) will incur extra fees, agreed upon before proceeding.

12. Dispute Resolution

In the unlikely event of a dispute, we encourage customers to contact us directly to resolve the issue amicably. Unresolved disputes will be handled by Australian consumer protection laws.

13. Acceptance of Terms

By using our services, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms and Conditions. Any amendments to these terms require written consent from Movers Perth. In case of conflicts, these terms take precedence.
